Kicking off the bold, large-scale community revitalization plan for this future neighborhood center, Alexan (recently renamed The Current) is the first new building in the Shoreline Place Community Renewal Area. This 6-story mixed-use project, positioned on a 414,060 SF triangular site, provides 330 market-rate and affordable units, a combination of studios, 1-bedroom open, 1-and 2-bedroom layouts with 302 parking spaces, and 206 bicycle parking spots. Amenities include a large landscaped plaza deck with barbeques, lobby and rooftop lounges, and an on-site stormwater detention system. The building’s convenient location will enable residents access to next-door mass transit, the adjacent Interurban Trail, grocery stores, farmer’s market and shopping in this rapidly flourishing hub.
