Update: State + Local Code Adoptions

The 2018 Building Code is now in effect for Washington State and the City of Seattle.

The big changes are in the energy code!

The City of Seattle and Lighting Design Lab have provided over 8 hours of video presentations regarding the new energy codes accessible here.

NOTE: "Residential" includes One- and Two-family dwellings, Townhouses and Group R-2 and R-3 buildings three stories or less. "Commercial" includes all buildings not covered under "Residential".
