Office Assistant | Principal Support

Purpose:

Caron is a growing architectural firm which provides innovative design solutions for local urban markets and multicultural clientele. We are a team of architects, planners, and interior designers who are project focused and client oriented. As Office Assistant, you will represent the face and voice of the Company.  You must present a professional appearance and demonstrate excellent communication skills along with a telephone presence.   We are seeking an energetic and multi-task oriented individual with a dynamic personality and strong organizational skills. From personally greeting all visitors and clients to the Caron office to supporting the Partners, you must demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and orderliness in performing work assignments and be extremely quality conscious.  The Design Office is fast paced and your work environment that will require a degree of independent thinking and you’ll need the ability to complete all assigned tasks whether within a project’s schedule or immediate project assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors and clients, and notify staff of their arrival
• Manage multi-line phone and take detailed messages
• Manage and order office supplies
• Manage and deliver mail – incoming and outgoing
• Maintain the front of office, conference rooms, kitchen and workroom
• General clerical duties/light word processing
• Make travel arrangements for the Principals

Requirements:

• High School diploma
• Two years’ experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Prior experience using a multi-line phone system preferred
• Can use equipment normally found in an office setting
